Mike Johnston
President and General Manager / Portland Winterhawks

Mike Johnston - TCS Live Presenter

Mike Johnston, the President and General Manager of the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, has an extensive coaching resume spanning professional, amateur, and international hockey. In the NHL, coached the Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins. At the amateur level, he coached at the University of New Brunswick and the Portland Winterhawks, where he achieved remarkable success including five Western Conference championships and a WHL championship. On the international stage, Johnston won two World Junior Championships, two Men’s World Championship gold medals, and three Spengler Cups.

Daniel Broberg
Development Coach / DB Hockey Factory

Daniel Broberg - TCS Live Presenter


Daniel Broberg has been active as a coach in Swedish hockey at almost all levels for 36 years. Among other things, he has coached at the professional level for 10 years and was General Manager of a youth/junior association for 10 years. For the past five years, Broberg has run DB Hockey Factory, which focuses on individual skills development with players of all levels, including 15 NHLers.

Jeff Tambellini
Director of Player Development / Seattle Kraken

Jeff Tambellini - TCS Live Presenter

Jeff Tambellini is currently the Director of Player Development for the Seattle Kraken, who previously enjoyed a diverse hockey career as a player, coach, and executive. A former NHL forward, Tambellini played for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, and Vancouver Canucks. He also had an impressive collegiate career at the University of Michigan, where he was a standout player and earned All-American honours. Internationally, Tambellini represented Canada three times. Since retiring, Tambellini has served as a Head Coach and General Manager in junior hockey.

Daniel Bochner
Development Coach / Carolina Hurricanes

Daniel Bochner - The Coaches Site Live Presenter


Daniel Bochner has worked two seasons as a Development Coach with the Carolina Hurricanes and 15 years specializing in player development overall. Before joining the Hurricanes, Bochner spent five seasons with SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL as a Development Coach and Assistant Coach. Bochner also served as the Director of Player Development and Head Player Development Coach for the Russian Ice Hockey Federation from 2018 to 2022, including a role as an Assistant Coach for Russia at the 2021 IIHF World Championship.

Kate Whitman Annis
Executive Director / NJ Devils Youth Foundation

Kate Whitman Annis - TCS Live Presenter

Kate Whitman Annis serves as the Executive Director of the Devils Youth Foundation (DYF), representing the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center. Appointed in October 2021, the New Jersey native leads the day-to-day operations of DYF, including fundraising, grant strategy, special event planning and community partner relationships. In her role, Whitman Annis is responsible for driving positive change by leveraging the powerful platform of sports and entertainment provided by the Devils and Prudential Center.

Al Montoya
VP Cultural Growth & Strategy / Dallas Stars

Al Montoya - TCS Live Presenter

Al Montoya became the first Cuban American and native Spanish speaker in the 100-year history of the NHL when he was drafted 6th overall by the New York Rangers in 2004. Since his 14-year playing career ended in 2019, Montoya has dedicated his (second) career to growing hockey through underrepresented markets. His role as VP of Cultural Growth & Strategy for the Dallas Stars provides a multi-cultural approach to sports business. From ensuring access and opportunity, to introducing new and influential business partners, Montoya works tirelessly to demonstrate Hockey is For Everyone.
