Tobias Johansson is an European Scout for the Tampa Bay Lightning, joining the organization after spending four years with the Norwegian Men’s National Team as Head Coach and Director of Player Development.
Johansson’s positive impact was felt most during the 2024 IIHF World Championship when Team Norway beat Team Canada (the eventual gold medal winners) 3-2 in round-robin play. It was the second ever win for the Norwegians against Canada and first going back to 2000 and was proof hockey was on the rise in Norway.
Prior to his role with Hockey Norway, Johansson worked with the legendary Swedish program Frölunda HC, where he helped shape future NHL stars including Lucas Raymond and Rasmus Dahlin.
