Gary Makar is a marketing and communications professional with a passion for psychology, sport psychology, and athlete development. A longtime contributor to hockey in Calgary, he has coached minor hockey, served on the boards of Hockey Calgary and Calgary Crowchild Twin Arenas, and is an Executive Advisor to Connect Sport, a mental health literacy charity for athletes. As the father of NHL stars Cale Makar and Taylor Makar, Gary has spent decades helping athletes, coaches, and families navigate the developmental journey both on and off the ice.
