Four applicants have been chosen to share their experience on a global stage!
With over 100 passionate coaches to consider, the selection process for the first-ever TCS Live presenter application was no small feat. An internal judging panel of five TCS employees carefully reviewed each submission, evaluating proposals based on topic relevance, coaching experience, and depth of knowledge. After much deliberation, we’re proud to reveal the four presenters chosen:
- Lorenda Beuker – Performance Researcher & Coach / Athlete Mindset Performance, Keiser University
- Pierre Allard – Assistant Coach / Red Bull Munich
- Joel Becker – Assistant Coach / University of Alberta Golden Bears
- Derrick Henderson – Assistant Coach / Columbus Mavericks

Lorenda Beuker

Joel Becker
Topic: The Relationship between Speed and Offensive Production
Joel Becker, Assistant Coach with the University of Alberta Golden Bears and former world-record holding speed skater, explores the dynamic connection between speed and offensive production in hockey. Derrick Henderson
Topic: 10 Seconds: How Time Affects Goal Scoring
This presentation is the result of over 12 years of dedicated research into the rhythms of hockey offense, born from a unique coaching journey that began without traditional playing experience. Rather than rely on inherited systems, Henderson sought to understand what actually leads to goals being scored. After working with multiple teams and observing countless coaching philosophies, Henderson discovered something unexpected: while there’s no single best tactic for scoring, there is a best time. This insight, refined through thousands of hours of video analysis, has shaped every system and decision Henderson uses as a coach. This presentation reveals how understanding time, not just tactics, can unlock offensive success.
